Birthday Boy!!!

Griffen's 6th Birthday was on February 24! I love him.
From the time he was first born Griffy has been such a little momma's boy, I am so lucky! He has always been so loving and protective of me I hope he never stops. Griffen is such a thinker, nothing gets past him. I love all the funny little things he says, I was reading through the Journal that I am keeping for him and I got all teary just remembering all those sweet memories I have of him. Like how much I loved his warm little cheeks when he was a newborn, or how those little blonde curls were so fun, how when I used to have to take him to daycare. I just hated it it broke my heart. Every morning as you were waking up you at just 2 years old would say, "Is this a day we get to stay home all day with you?" I loved it when it was, but when it wasn't I had the hardest time taking you. I am glad I am writing all these memories and funny little things down.
Griffen at six...
His favorite color is purple and always has been. I love it because he shares that color with his Great Grandpa Thompson. Grandpa has passed away but, Griffen always talked about Grandpa's purple beanie. Recently at school he got teased for liking purple. He came home and told my that someone said it was a girl color. He didn't skip a beat when he said, "I am changing my favorite color to red and blue because that makes purple."
Right now he plays with Pillow Pets, Baukagan, Bey Blades, Legos, and his Nerf guns! Those darn little orange bullets are all over my house, I don't even try to pick them up anymore. It's a lost cause! Griffen loves Scooby Doo! His favorite presant this year came from the dollar store. A starfish that grew when you put it in the water. He named it Star O, he saw it one day and that was all he said he wanted for his birthday. I am having mom guilt that I don't have more pictures of him on his birthday!!!
Griffen has always liked bugs...since he was tiny. We would go on walks and I couldn't believe how his eyes could spot every roly poly or butterfly we passed. Winter is so hard on Griffen because he isn't able to hunt his bugs.
I can't believe how well Griffy has adjusted to having a baby sister. I was worried because he has been the baby for so long. He never once had any problem with it, he is so cute with Lucy.
Griffen has such a tender heart, I love that about him, I always tease that he will make such a great husband someday. He always compliments me on what I'm wearing or what I cook, or how the house looks after I clean.
We are so thankful he's in our family, we love his 6 year old little guts! Those big baby blue's of his still get to me every time and I still love those cheeks of his!
