Cooper's 10th Birthday

I am slow but I have to brag about this sweet little man!  My Cooper turned 10 on December 26th and it is just very hard to believe that 10 years ago they placed the most beautiful, tiny, sweet, dark haired baby into my arms.  I remember thinking..."they are just going to send me home with this tiny baby?"  I was terrified and thrilled and emotional all at the same time. I just remember those first months of late nights with him screaming in my arms rocking him by the washing machine (the only thing that would calm him down), or watching all those firsts rolling, crawling, smiling, sitting, walking, talking.  I never knew being a mother was so rewarding until he came around!

Watching Cooper grow up to be the boy he is today has been my privilege.  I could not be more proud of him and the decisions he has made over the years and for the example he is to his little brother and sister, let's be honest...to his mom as well!
Cooper is a friend to everyone.  I loved reading the card that his class made him at school this year, everyone of the kids wrote that they liked him because he was so nice or that he was a friend to everyone or that he includes everyone at recess.  To me, to have a 10 year old boy who is kind to everyone is special, and Cooper is certainly special
I can not believe what a helper this kid is...lots of times without me even asking him.  I love that he is my little man of the house and he takes care of shoveling the sidewalk and taking the garbage out any time I ask him to.  His little grin gets me every time and those big brown eyes and long lashes? Forget about it!!!

He is so loved in our little family and just fun to be around...we love this little man so much!  Great things are in store for him I know it!  I love you Cooper
