WOW! How easy it is too fall behind when you are busy having fun! I need to catch up on some of the things we have been up to over the last few months...here we go!
We had such a fun Easter..thank goodness the weather cooperated and we
were able to play outside! Earlier in the week we all met at James and
Rachel's and dyed eggs...messy but fun! We then rolled them down
grandpa's hill in the backyard. The kids thought this was so funny and
Lucy and William tried to eat the broken eggs.
The boys have been saving their money for about 5 months or so to buy a
trampoline. The night before Easter the boys and I went to dinner and
enjoyed hanging out together, when we came home we came home to see a
big box in out front yard. I wish I would have had a video camera to
record their excitement!!! To say THRILLED is an understatement:) I
don't know who it was...but they know who they are and i just want to
say thank you! To make things even better, on Easter after our
celebrating was over our entire family came to my house to help set up
our new toy! How cool is that? We have enjoyed many, many hours on the
trampoline since then. We are so very Lucky to have the family that we
have!
We found a fun recipe for bubbles on Pintrest and have had so much fun seeing how big we can get our bubbles...I love these pictures of the boys!
Lucy loves books! I think this is part of the reason she has such a large vocabulary, she talks and talks and talks! One day just after her bath Lucy was running around in her birthday suit while I was getting her clothes ready. I came in the the family room to see her like this...so funny! Great pictures to embarrass her with someday. I love the look she is giving me in the close up shot:)
Some more funny moments caught on camera...I set out the boys clothes for school each night, Griffen came out one morning with Lucy's very small (on him) shirt on. He was laughing so hard saying..."you left it out for me...do I have to wear it?" Oops, I better pay more attention to what I am doing so my kids don't end up at school with their sisters clothes on:)
The next photo is how I found Griffen found asleep one morning! So funny he made himself a little cacoon, Lucy thought it was so funny! What a kid.
I love catching my kiddos like this...They are so lucky to have each other:)
Lucy turned 18 months old on the 15th of May...I really can't believe it! She is such a little mommy lately, she babysits her dollies all day. Moving them from the stroller to the highchair to the crib to their car seat. She carries them around with their bottle and blanket and her purse and their blanket. She rocks them and tell them, "shhhh shhhhh shhhh." I love it when she realizes she doesn't have one and she holds her hands up like, "where is the baby?" She is so great at signing and is learning new signs everyday, she talks in two and sometimes three word sentences and she will say just about everything. She has a bit of a bubble obsession (thank goodness for the no-spill bubbles..I wish i had thought of it) and also loves being outside and seeing the horses in the field behind our house. One of my favorite things she does right now is call our neighbor whose name is Milt, Milk (she makes the sign for milk and says, "milk"! So funny! She just loves him and talks about him all day. She has no fear of water and loves anything that includes water. I could go on and on about this little stink I love her so much and consider myself very luck to have shared these wonderful 18 months with her and can't wait to continue to watch her grow. Here she is eating breakfast with one of her babies.
More babysitting...
Little Lucy Ann with her namesake Great Grandma Lucy Ann, Lucy has been going through a little phase where she is a bit nervous around adults that she doesn't see as often. I wondered how this would go but Lucy climbed right up to sit on Great Grandma's lap to tell her about her princess phone.
We have enjoyed our big backyard so far this Spring...I saw this on Pintrest and though it looked like so much fun! Well, the one on Pintrest turned out much better but we still had fun playing with cousins: Jake, Zach and William.
Here is proof of Lucy's love of water...the Splash pad at Lagoon (so funny). She really was in heaven! I had to ask a little girl to go get her out of the middle when it was time to go because she just kept telling me to "come here" with her little finger.
The boys have been busy and loving it, Cooper with baseball and Griffen with soccer and jump rope. We are really enjoying our Spring so far and ready to be done with school for the summer, more posts to come soon!
